POSITION SUMMARY

We are one of the nation’s top automobile loan providers and due to growth, we are searching for a talented people leader to join our team as our Funding Manager. In this role, you will manage, teach, train and support a team of 10 in-house Funders and ensure we are achieving our targets and reviewing, verify eligibility, and processing loans quickly and efficiently.

This is a fast-paced job, so you’ll need to have excellent customer service, time management and organization skills. In addition, you should possess strong training capabilities, as it will be your role to help your team grow and develop in their careers while maximizing their productivity.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise a team of 10 in-house Funders in processing loan applications including reviewing, auditing and approving the application.
• Audit team performance of goals and metrics; ensure each Funder achieves monthly targets and receives support and training if they need assistance with meeting objectives.
• Review loan packages and documents for accuracy while identifying any application discrepancies.
• Ensure team is reviewing, analyzing and verifying auto loans within company guidelines. Resolve all loan application issues to ensure all fundable loans convert to funded.
• Ensure team is trained on processing standard loan verifications including verifications of employment, income, insurance, residence, etc.
• Assist with final analysis, verification, and funding of loans based on internal lending guidelines, fair lending practices and the ECOA (Equal Credit Opportunity Act).
• Interact daily with Sales, Underwriting and Dealers and help build strong relationships.
• Monitor quality assurance and ensure each Funder is providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial and/or personal information.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate/GED required. College degree in business, finance or another related field preferred.
• 5 years’ previous experience in a loan processing, banking or funding role required.
• 3 years of supervisor or team lead experience preferred.
• Previous experience working in the automobile or consumer finance industry strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to sit in sedentary position for extended periods of time.

Pay: $75,000 (annual salary)
