Job Summary

Summary: Hospitality Furniture Solutions is looking for a talented Traveling Furniture with specialization in Finisher to join our team.

• The Traveling Furniture Finisher will be responsible for traveling to different locations to refinish furniture. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel on short notice and have prior experience in work-related travel.
• The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in working with a variety of wood finishes and familiar with Mohawk finishing products.
• The candidate must be available to travel for extended periods and must have experience in traveling for work.
• The Furniture Refinisher must have skills in masking, sanding, staining, spraying, refinishing, and repairing scratches, dents, and gouges.
• Basic carpentry skills are required, including cutting radiuses in wood, cutouts, cutting panels, reconstructing joints, and securing case goods to walls.

Responsibility

• Travel to various locations nationwide to refinish furniture
• Apply finishes and stains to furniture using spray guns, brushes, or other tools
• Sand and prepare furniture surfaces for finishing
• Mix and match colors to create custom finishes
• Troubleshoot finishing issues and make necessary adjustments
• Repair scratches, dents, and gouges in furniture
• Use basic carpentry skills to cut radiuses in wood, cutouts, cutting panels, and reconstructing joints
• Secure case goods to walls
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Communicate with other team members to ensure that production schedules are met
• Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment as needed
• Knowledge of basic software programs such as Excel, Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive is required.
• The candidate will be responsible for writing reports to clients and reporting their daily progress on the project to the project manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Furniture Finisher
• Technicians will be required to own their own vehicle. Vehicles will be regularly serviced, kept clean, stocked and organized in order to facilitate professional service and corporate image. Work tools will be assigned.
• Knowledge of wood finishing techniques and materials, including Mohawk finishing products
• Ability to work with a variety of finishes, including lacquer, varnish, and oil-based stains
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. This is a must.
• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Knowledge of basic software programs such as Excel, Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive is required.
• Knowledge of how to mask, sand, stain, spray, refinish, and repair scratches, dents, and gouges
• Basic carpentry skills which includes but is not limited to: cutting radiuses in wood, cutouts, cutting panels, reconstructing joints, and securing case goods to walls.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
