Gas Supply Manager manages the supply and purchase of natural gas to meet company needs. Negotiates contracts with approved sources to maintain adequate supply and ensure favorable terms. Being a Gas Supply Manager forecasts change in prices in order to maintain company fuel investments. Coordinates proper transportation and storage of gas supplies. Additionally, Gas Supply Manager maintains business relationships with suppliers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Gas Supply Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Gas Supply Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We have multiple MIT locations in South Dakota (Sioux Falls E 10th St., Aberdeen, Pierre, Rapid City), North Dakota (Bismarck, Dickinson), Minnesota (St. Cloud, Worthington, Marshall), New York (Canandaigua, Rome), Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and other possible Runnings locations.
The MIT is responsible for assuring the highest level of customer service while learning to manage store operations. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate for available opportunities and can work days, evenings, and a rotating weekend/holiday coverage. Runnings may assist with relocation expenses in some cases.
Hourly Pay Range: $18.00-23.00 (Depending on Experience)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the hiring and recruiting of store employees under the direction of the Store Manager.
- Help resolve problems that affect the stores' service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Review sales and expenses to monitor store profitability and manage to a budget.
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure the facility complies with safety and environmental codes.
- Ensure safekeeping of company funds, personnel practices, security, and inventory management.
- Excel in customer service to assure long term customer satisfaction.
- Assist in employee misconduct and conflict investigation and resolution.
- Assist the store manager with performance evaluations and store evaluations.
- Place and display merchandise.
- Be motivated for advancement opportunities and willing to relocate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Prior Work experience - education required includes:
- Three or more years of retail sales experience
- Some Supervisory experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
