As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for functional leadership and direct supervision of the HSE team across the Western Region for Snelson Companies, Inc. As the regional leader and subject matter expert in HSE, this position drives implementation and maintenance of the HSE Management System and ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role also provides tactical HSE guidance and talent management of the HSE team and works with operational leadership to deliver continuous improvement in HSE performance. This is a full-time, permanent position, located in Ceres, CA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for ensuring compliance to Federal, State & local regulations and conformance to HSE Management System and program requirements.
• Responsible for direct supervision of HSE staff, ensuring effective field engagement, training, development, coaching, and mentoring for talent management.
• Analyze HSE trends and develop strategic action plans with Operations Leaders to support continuous improvement of HSE performance.
• Serve as the main point of contact for regulators, clients, and sub-contractors concerning HSErelated issues.
• Provide support in the development and distribution of HSE-related data for bid packages etc.
• Support Business Development and Commercial functions in the pursuit of new projects/work through the creation of HSE documentation and attending high-level customer visits where necessary.
• Develop and deliver HSE-related reports, presentations, and/or training as requested.
• Assists in incident investigations, HSE inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Facilitate working groups for HSE systems improvement and special projects.
• Participate as a member of the Utilities Segment HSE community and drive standardization across assigned region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science,
or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of industry relevant HSE experience required.
• Must hold or be working toward professional certifications, e.g., PMP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, REM, etc.
• Detailed understanding of Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization.
• Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and
strategy.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and project management across multiple teams
Salary Range $120K - $150K. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
