Position:  Accountant

Pay:  $50,000 - $65,000 / yearly Depending On Experience

Accountant is responsible for performing various accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.  Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial data in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the CFO with the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
2. Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
3. Report organization’s finances to management and offer suggestions about resource utilization and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. 
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze account balances and report any variances in those accounts. Prepare journal entries as needed to correct account balances. 
5. Assist in the preparation of schedules, budgets, statistical reports and other financial reports as needed. 
6. Assist in annual audits and preparation of work papers and schedules.
7. Assist Accounts Payable with all tasks including, but not limited to, invoice processing, vendor check production and filing.
8. Assist with contract generation and maintenance.
9. Assist with treasury services and functions.
10. Compile, report, and submit tax, regulatory, and compliance related documents.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
2. Must be very familiar with an array of computer hardware and software packages. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.  Ideally has prior experience using financial software.
3. Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience is preferred.
4. Overnight travel may be required.
5. Must be able to communicate articulately and comprehend written and verbal communications.
