General Laborer, Sr. jobs in Arizona

We are looking for a competent General Construction Laborer to work on roads and other construction projects. You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands. Being good in collaboration and following instructions and safety rules are important.

Job Location: Tanque Verde and Redington Rd, Tucson, Arizona

Job Period: Contract min of 6 weeks

Shift: 10 hours Monday-Saturday

Responsibilities

• Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects
• Assist as dump-man spotter, unloading dump trucks
• Use hand and small equipment to complete job tasks
• Roller/compactor ride-on, as needed
• Clean out site from debris and discarded material
• Place traffic signs where appropriate

Skills

• Proven experience as a general construction laborer
• Experience in handling basic construction equipment and hand tools such as shovel.
• Knowledge of construction safety (OSHA PREF.)
• Knowledge of basic traffic safety principles and methods
• Must be able to withstand physical labor
• Must be able to lift 50-80 lbs
• Able to work in a team
• Able to take direction and follow instruction
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the construction field
• Reliable Transportation to and from job site
• Must pass Drug screen and background check
• Must be able to withstand continous physical labor like standing, walking and/or lifting.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
