SUMMARY:A General Laborer performs work in a fast paced, low volume, high mix manufacturing environment. This work includes sorting, stacking, counting, and labeling parts that have been cut by the laser. It also can include maintenance and cleaning of the laser and work area. This position can be a physically demanding job, due to picking up and setting down larger parts.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Keep work area clean, organized, and ready to work efficiently at all-times (general housekeeping).
- Issue parts and time to work orders through time clock system
- Visually inspect parts for quality.
- Determine if parts need cleaning from imperfections that may have been left the laser.
- Miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Issue parts and time to work orders through time clock system.
- Perform initial visual inspections as needed of the parts or metal sheets.
- Accurately sort, match, label, count, and tag parts correctly.
- Observance of surroundings for moving parts or other potentially dangerous situations that are part of daily production procedure.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:- Two years of team leadership experience preferred.
- High School or GED is required.
- Forklift experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:- Ability to match parts to the correct tag via drawing or part number.
- Work well with others to complete tasks as needed.
