Watterson is looking for a mitigation technician who will assess damaged properties to see what can be saved, clean damaged properties, remove, and replace damaged materials, and sanitize the restored sites. To be successful as a mitigation technician, one must be physically capable, have a keen understanding of safety gear, and be able to follow instructions.Key Responsibilities- High level performance of water mitigation, and mold remediation services according with industry specifications under the supervision of Mitigation Manager.
- Act as daily on-site contact for the customer, ensuring their needs are met and questions are answered.
- Able to monitor and provide appropriate documentation.
- Drive company vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other machinery.
- Ability to provide company management with timely and accurate information related to the progress and status of projects.
- Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean, properly stocked, and organized truck and maintain all company equipment.
- Be accessible by phone and participate, as necessary, in the on-call schedule.
- Assist in warehousing and facility related tasks when necessary.
- Willingness to participate in all training as needed or required.
- Follow safety rules and regulations.
Skills/Traits/Competencies- An ability to prioritize and manage expectations

- Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in fire, smoke and/or water damage
Experience/Education/Qualifications- 1 or more of IICRC Restoration Certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.) preferred
- 2 or more years as an experience Restoration Technician preferred
- The ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
