Location: Main base is Maintenance Shop in Monmouth, Administrative Offices and PCL Locations

Starting Salary: Annualized salary of $45.432.00. Salary payments are made bi-weekly ($1,747.38) every other Friday (approx $3,786/month)

Experience Requirements: Minimum of five years providing Maintenance work and two years of supervisory experience, OR a combination of the two.
VISION: The responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor (hereafter referred to as Supervisor) is to create and maintain a consistent standard of excellence for the delivery of Maintenance services. The duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor affect the quality of life for the people supported by PCL as well as the morale, turnover, and effectiveness of the roles within the department.

They understand that effective maintenance is critical to the success and efficiency of the services PCL provides and that they ensure the Maintenance Team is operating at optimal level. They utilize data systems to track maintenance activities and inventory through a thorough and well-organized system. The Maintenance Supervisor is a self-directed, highly motivated person that assists team members to connect goals to decision-making, processes, systems, commitments, and documentation. They maintain a positive, professional working relationship with the people we support, team members at all levels, and stakeholders (vendors, contractors, family members, etc.) The Supervisor is responsible for departmental needs and outcomes for the Northern & Southern Oregon Maintenance Technicians including personnel, budgetary oversight, system creation, etc. They are capable professionals with the ability to prioritize, track, and complete multiple tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Able to perform/understand a broad range of maintenance work.
- Able to evaluate needed maintenance work.
- Utilizing the Work Order system, organize and oversee the assignment of tasks, and follow up to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assess and organize preventative maintenance processes and measures.
- Proficient in maintenance management software systems, Google suite, or similar software.
- Fiscally responsible for the assigned budget.
- Order and ensure all inventory and equipment are cared for and accounted for.
- Ensure self and team adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Collaborate and coordinate with PCL’s Facilities & Housing Administrator to coordinate the needs for property related repairs at the homes that PCL rents from landlords and Housing Authorities.
- Provide suggestions on fiscal improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for their assigned area. On a regular rotation, this position is on-call for their assigned area for 7 consecutive days.
Physical demands: Including and not limited to:
- Supervisor is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Job involves frequent standing, lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion.
- Supervisor must regularly lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and often lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Supervisor is on their feet most of the day.
Work environment: Including and not limited to:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- May be exposed to blood, or other body fluids, and contagious infections/diseases.
- This position requires work inside people's personal homes.
- May encounter unpleasant sights and smells.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- This position requires frequent visitation to outside businesses. When in these sites, it is important that the Team Member adhere to all of their regulations to maintain worksite safety.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases and the ability to learn agency applications.
- Enhanced math skills - must be able to accurately balance a budget and basic math transactions.
- Professional, clear, and positive oral and written communication skills both expressive and receptive.
- This position includes travel, as needed and assigned which includes regular scheduling and attendance in the Southern Oregon area for Maintenance Team members.
- Promote, model, and adhere to PCL’s Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain your assigned workload without any pattern of neglect.
- Efficiently operate within the broad framework of established policies and procedures with little supervision and direction.
Position Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old when employment begins.
- Pass a State/Federal Criminal History Check.
- Background screening including employment and education history.
- Pre-employment drug screening (for the use of illegal substances in Oregon).
- Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
- Be able to be certified and maintain certification with First Aid/CPR.
