Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glass Cutter/Finisher relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Overview:
Mario’s Glass is seeking a dedicated Glass Installer Helper, specializing in shower doors and automotive glass, to join our team. This full-time position pairs you with our senior installers from 8 AM to 5 PM, providing a robust platform for career development in a specialized niche of the glass installation industry. Starting pay is $20 an hour, with a potential increase for candidates who bring experience and expertise to the table.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and repair of glass in a variety of settings, focusing on shower doors and automotive glass.
- Load, transport, and set up glass and tools to job sites.
- Use suction cups, cutters, and other hand tools under supervision to fit and secure glass.
- Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards, as well as customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of the work area and vehicle.
- Develop knowledge of industry standards and techniques through hands-on experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Experience in glass installation, particularly with shower doors or automotive glass, is highly preferred but not required.
- Strong ability to work with hands and use power tools.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver large pieces of glass safely.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
