Estimated annual base pay: $104,800(minimum) - $131,000(midpoint) - $157,200(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Global Supplier Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Management of global supply base to maximize performance and leverage to positively impact financial performance of all Woodward business groups. Includes all aspects of commercial and contractual management of the assigned suppliers. Key focus is the selection and development of the supply base to match Woodward's future needs, but also includes support of the business group-based purchasing functions in the areas of strategic alignment and critical issue escalation.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Development of complex sub-commodity strategies with limited oversight - significant contribution to commodity level strategy development
Analytics (Business Objects and external sources): Basic interpretation of external data to influence decisions
Business Systems: Ability to find root cause through use of non-purchasing WISE application
Business Systems: Mentoring for Level 1 supplier managers on tools and applications
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation and process): Ability to develop non-standard agreements with oversite
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation and process): Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate type of agreement to conditions
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation and process): Development of negotiation strategies for simple and medium complexity contracts
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation and process): Participation on complex negotiation teams and lead on medium complexity negotiations
Compliance: Insight into regulatory compliance as it applies to projects and activities - incorporating activities to ensure regulatory compliance
Compliance: Demonstrated understanding of intent of Global Sourcing standardized processes to ensure desired results
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Ability to understand and apply impact of business level strategies
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Cooperative development of strategies with balance of enterprise and supplier(s)
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Understanding of more advanced market influences (forecast of indices, labor, geopolitical, emerging markets, etc.) with integration into strategies
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Demonstrated ability to develop supplier strategies aimed at the development of a long-term viable supply base - maximize sustainable value of supplier to WW results
Strategy Deployment (project management, metrics goals, escalations - charter, etc.): Demonstrated ability o manage medium/complex projects containing unknowns and risks requiring quick adjustment to planning and activity to ensure goals are not compromised
Supplier Relationship Management (commercial management, internal coordination and alignment): Relationship management at significantly high level with supplier, including executive level with oversight
Supplier Relationship Management (commercial management, internal coordination and alignment): Strategic relationship (risk sharing, contractual creativity, etc.)
Analytics (Business Objects and external sources): Development and deployment of appropriate actions based upon data
What We Are Looking For
US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required, advanced business degree preferred
3-5 years purchasing experience required
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of technologies within one or more sub-commodities with ability to contribute with technical experts
Project Management: Ability to facilitate development of effective project schedules
Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate at the enterprise level
Cultural Awareness: Awareness capable of meeting multi-cultural groups within their cultural landscape
Strategic Thinking: Ability to effectively drive planning and thinking around a future state,
Six Sigma/Lean: Planning includes appropriate emphasis on improvements in Six Sigma and Lean implementation
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to diffuse difficult communication to drive solutions,
Data Analysis Skills: Ability to transform data to logical solutions
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead groups (internal and external) through difficult situations - drive consensus where possible maximizing support
Business Acumen: Knowledge of impact of activities on P&L,

Metrics/Results Driven: Ability to develop plans and strategies to ensure achievement of goals and objectives
Supplier Quality System: Ability to guide others in the development of PPAP and execution of WPQR 9100
Supplier Quality System: Strong participation in supplier assessment processes,
Problem Solving/Ambiguity: Ability to execute actions that are not clearly defined and drive appropriate actions for known risks
CPM, CPI, Apia, etc. preferred
