Golf Superintendent - Assistant assists the Superintendent in the overall maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf/grass management, irrigation, and chemical applications (e.g., fertilizer, pesticides) to ensure quality playing conditions. Supervises personnel and participates in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths. Being a Golf Superintendent - Assistant ensures adherence to golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. May serve in the Superintendent's capacity during absence. Additionally, Golf Superintendent - Assistant may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a golf course superintendent. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Bachoco OK Foods is seeking a Production Superintendent for our Fort Smith, AR location.Summary: Makes sure that debone supervisors work with and train employees to ensure they are getting the best yield and quality from the product. Follows all USDA and in-plant rules.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversees start-up and set-up… or end of operations shut down.
- Ensure all safety standards are being applied.
- Coordinates all daily activities with supervisors.
- Makes sure products are being ran correctly (quality, packaging).
- Assures product wholesomeness.
- Communicates with Quality, Maintenance, all shift production and Sanitation.
- Responsible for answering unfavorable variances with the plant.
- Responsible for USDA concerns.
- Takes care of employee issues and human resource issues.
- Schedules employees for company meetings (i.e. hearing tests, 401K sessions, etc.).
- Coordinates rework from freezer.
- Makes sure everyone is notified of schedule changes (production, maintenance, supply, and QC).
- Ensures standards are met for every product.
Qualifications and Education:- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience and education.
- Experience working in the poultry business preferred.
- 3-5 years direct experience in plant operations at a supervisory level and above.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise hourly employees in the plant. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. There will also be special projects that this position will oversee.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
