Golf Superintendent - Assistant assists the Superintendent in the overall maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf/grass management, irrigation, and chemical applications (e.g., fertilizer, pesticides) to ensure quality playing conditions. Supervises personnel and participates in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths. Being a Golf Superintendent - Assistant ensures adherence to golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. May serve in the Superintendent's capacity during absence. Additionally, Golf Superintendent - Assistant may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a golf course superintendent. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Provide bag, golf car and range services to members and guests.
Job Tasks/Duties
· Brings golf cars from car shelter to car staging area outside Golf Pro Shop; checks golf cars for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations.
· Checks and restocks sand and water stations on course.
· Loads bags from bag storage room onto golf cars.
· Carry bags for members arriving and departing.
· Transports range balls to driving range and fills appropriate containers.
· Ensures that practice tee and chipping area are stocked with clean balls, neat, organized and free of tees at all times throughout the day.
· Periodically cleans range balls out of #17 and #18 fairway and rough.
· Places containers of balls at evenly spaced (4 regular paces) intervals on range.
· Operates range cart and ball picker on range to retrieve balls.
· Washes all range balls daily.
· Removes bags from golf cars and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.
· Returns golf cars to car shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from golf cars and saves reusable items; checks cars for damage; washes golf car with pressure cleaner; parks car in shelter and connects charger cable.
· Advises Pro Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
· Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club’s rental equipment.
· Maintains cleanliness of and order in cart barn, cart staging and Bag Storage Room.
· Attends staff meetings.
· Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Director of Golf.

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
