Government Compliance Manager plans and directs the government compliance function; provides corporate-wide focus for efforts relating to compliance with government procurement laws and regulations. Includes oversight responsibility for government contract compliance audit and training functions. Being a Government Compliance Manager establishes policy on a variety of procurement matters, including government accounting, government property and independent research and development issues. Develops and maintains the company's compliance risk management program to manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines requirements and benchmarking research, facilitating the systematic assessment and management of compliance risks. Additionally, Government Compliance Manager ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Requires a master's/law degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Government Compliance Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     The Compliance Associate is a member of the client account team. The Compliance Associate must establish a working relationship with internal compliance team colleagues and be comfortable corresponding in a professional manner with contacts at our investment adviser clients to coordinate recordkeeping, distribute certifications and make other data requests. Perform data entry. 

    Key duties and skills:

    • Detailed oriented, analytical, comfortable using technology tools to accomplish duties 
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate internally and track progress in meeting internal deadlines 
    • Maintain compliance logs that are the basis of adviser client reports. 
    • Data entry into our internal software application
    • Maintain client files and compliance calendars 
    • Provide administrative support services to Senior Compliance, Lead Compliance and Relationship Managers
    • Other duties as assigned. 



    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Able to work independently as well as within a team, while adhering to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to prioritize and move between tasks efficiently.
    • High energy self-starter with strong communication skills.
    • Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint in particular).
    • Will train new grads.
