Job Title: Grant Specialist
Supervisor: Accounting Manager
Pay Grade: Category A
SALARY: $55,000 DOE
Job Classification: Non- Exempt
Work Agreement Length: 260 Days- F/T- 8 HRS/Day- Flexible schedule required and some evenings may be required to assist with Afterhours District meetings.
Essential Duties
- Assist the Grant Director(s) and Business Office in the preparation of federal budgets and grant applications.
- Maintain knowledge of Federal grant regulations.
- Monitor budget and document expenditures of various grants, and report to the Business Office and Grant Director(s).
- Maintain and compile all fiscal, budgetary, and monetary data relevant to monthly reports, annual reporting, and audits.
- Maintain documentation of all Federal contracts, leases, and grant inventory for Business Office and Grant Director(s) records.
- Prepare and submit grant reports, request for funds and budget amendments for various grants.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required)
Requires minimum equivalent of high school diploma.
Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle details accurately. General understanding of bookkeeping functions. Ability to work effectively and maintain composure under pressure of short deadlines. Proficient in document management, electronic and paper based. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must have knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
An associate degree in business or other related field and any equivalent combination of experience, training and education, or a bachelor’s degree. Knowledge base in procurement law in relation to Federal and State grants.
