Grants/Contracts Specialist - Higher Ed. assists with grant and proposal research and writing operations to develop effective grant submissions and obtain funding for the organization. Helps to research grant opportunities and proposal requirements. Being a Grants/Contracts Specialist - Higher Ed. supports grant writers in understanding the complex proposal requirements from governmental agencies and institutions. Maintains an overall grant calendar and uses project management tools to track all grant activity and timelines. Additionally, Grants/Contracts Specialist - Higher Ed. prepares financial accounting or reporting required for grants. Performs quality reviews, proofreading, and validation of proposals for completeness and compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Grants/Contracts Specialist - Higher Ed. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • The Brand Ambassador position will work directly with the sales team to help create brand awareness by customer interactions, in person, as well as utilizing different social media platforms.

    The Brand Ambassador is responsible for executing the brand sales strategy within the designated territory. This includes scheduling and executing in-person demos, act as the public facing representative of our brand, and is highly visible at promotions and special events.

    Territory: The territory would encompass Central Willamette Valley and the Mid/North Coast.

    Essential Functions

    Brand Ambassador Responsibilities:

    • Engage with customers to conduct captivating, in-store and event demonstrations confidently in assigned locations to achieve specified sales goals. Drive brand awareness and attract new customers.
    • Set up, break down, product preparation and sampling during in-store selling events
    • Actively draw in customers to the event table and drive sales
    • Generate brand awareness and positive product impressions to increase sales
    • Maintain a positive image of the brand at all times
    • Offer promotional materials to customers, when applicable
    • Gather feedback and make suggestions based to improve the program
    • Be a credible product and brand expert by educating consumers on the benefits of Higher Cultures’ product(s)
    • Secure and transport product and marketing materials to and from accounts
    • Maintain working knowledge of our product(s) in order to be a subject matter expert
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • Minimum 2 years in customer service, sales, or previous experience as a Brand Ambassador
    • Must be approved by the OLCC to obtain a Marijuana Workers Permit
    • Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple retail locations
    • Deep understanding of what it takes to execute a successful event
    • Proven success in sales calls, demo and on-premise sales and merchandising strategies
    • Travel required
    • Professional Appearance (clean, well-groomed) and demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers
    • Must be able to safely load & carry up to 20 lbs. of product samples and promotional materials

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves continually and uses repetitive motions. The position is subject to lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds and may require going up/down stairs at some locations.
