POSITION SUMMARY
As a Graphic Design Associate at Harper Ellis Hair Co., you'll craft captivating visuals for our social media, marketing materials, product packaging, and ads helping to elevate our brand to new heights. OBJECTIVES
- Develop and maintain a cohesive and visually appealing brand identity across all platforms, including digital and print media.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with the company's brand guidelines and messaging.
- Create compelling and shareable content for social media platforms to boost audience engagement and follower growth.
- Design eye-catching email templates and graphics to improve open and click-through rates for email marketing campaigns.
- Design engaging and informative slideshows for internal presentations, client meetings, and public events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional materials that effectively communicate campaign messages and drive sales.
- Produce visually appealing assets for product launches, events, and seasonal promotions.
- Design attractive and functional packaging for new and existing products, ensuring they stand out on retail shelves and online.
- Create product mock-ups, instructional graphics, and other visuals that enhance the customer experience and understanding of our products.
- Develop templates and design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency in creating marketing and promotional materials.
- Implement feedback loops and iteration processes to refine designs quickly and meet project deadlines.
- Experiment with new design techniques and tools to continuously improve the quality and impact of our visual content.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to support overall company goals and initiatives.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Capcut, Canva, Procreate and other relevant design software.
- Knowledge of web design principles and familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Basic understanding of video editing software and motion graphics.
- High level of accuracy and precision in design work.
- Ability to spot and correct errors in design, typography, and layout.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to present and explain design concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to work well within a team, taking and incorporating feedback constructively.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their design requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and an eye for project management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Capcut, Canva, Procreate and other relevant design software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work, including digital and print materials.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This position will require occasional travel.
