    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    The Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining the visual look and feel of Project Open Hand’s brand while creating a wide array of creative assets that amplify the brand across digital and print media, including but not limited to newsletters, publications, website, video production, events, and social media. The Coordinator also helps to produce a wide variety of communications and marketing materials about Project Open Hand (including but not limited to newsletters, flyers, blog posts and web content, social media, photos, and videos) and helps to track key marketing metrics to grow POH’s audience and engagement.  

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 

    • One-year experience in graphic design or related field. 
    • Advanced knowledge of layout, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals. 
    • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Web Content Management System (CMS) Drupal or similar CMS Platform. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word). 
    • Ability to understand audience and create engaging graphic compositions and collateral. 
    • Portfolio of graphic design work that illustrates range of skills across different mediums. 
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects, with high attention to detail. 
    • A keen eye for good graphic design and Photoshop skills are a must. 
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with a diverse range of partners, peers & volunteers. 
    • Desire to grow skills in digital marketing and multi-channel marketing. 

    QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field. 
    • Experience filming and editing video. 
    • Website design and content management. 
    • Experience in the fundraising/development. 
    • Proficiency in photography and videography (shooting and editing). 
    • Experience producing content for social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Marketing and Communications, develop visual and graphic collateral. 
    • Create graphic and written content, design layout, and assist in production of POH digital and print materials including newsletters, brochures, annual reports, flyers, and other publications. 
    • Create graphic and written content for digital channels including website, social media, email, and video production. 
    • Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media. 
    • Adhere to the POH brand guidelines. 
    • Assemble final materials for printing as needed. 
    • Develop, produce, and post content and media for social media channels and the agency website. 
    • Work in conjunction with Development Department to create content for monthly e-newsletters, regular on-line donor appeals and consistent messaging/editing for direct mail donor appeals
