Group Fitness Instructor jobs in Derby, IA

The Group Group Fitness Instructor organizes and instructs exercise classes for all fitness levels. Coordinates all fitness programs for a facility. Being a Group Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for making sure that the exercise area and equipment are safe and clean. Ensures that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment. In addition, Group Group Fitness Instructor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. Working as a Group Group Fitness Instructor typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.         • Maintains safe exercise environment for participants.
        • Available to substitute for other instructors.
        • Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
      • Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
      • Organizational Requirements:
        • Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements.
      •  
        Preferred Qualifications:
        • Fitness industry certification (A.C.E., A.C.S.M., N.S.C.A.).
      •  
        Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
        • At least 6 months experience instructing group fitness.
        • Skill in effective oral and written communication in English.
        • Skill in communicating with the public.
        • Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently to carry out work and assigned tasks.
        • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.

        • One year of experience in the field of fitness instruction
