and GROUP FACILITATOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reports to directly to the Clinical Director. Responsible for helping client’s decisions and accomplish goals. Facilitates a variety of groups designed to provide clients with the knowledge, skills, and insight necessary maintain their sobriety.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
· Facilitate groups as assigned.
· Develops and implements group curricula, with approval from the Clinical Director.
· Utilizes methods and tools that enable clients to achieve desired results.
· Utilizes conflict resolution skills as needed to facilitate client growth and effectively control groups.
· Creates an environment that encourages discussion and input from all clients.
· Demonstrates and teaches effective communication and social skills.
· Manages clients’ behavior in a manner that ensures their safety by recognizing changes in group dynamics as well as individual client behavior.
· Completes group notes and other documentation within 24 hours or as directed by the Clinical Director.
· Reports client therapeutic and behavioral issues to the clinical team.
· Facilitates transportation of clients, as needed.
· Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Position:
· Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree (preferred) inrelated fields and two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
· Must maintain the highest level of client confidentiality
· Must be open minded, flexible, and willing to accept direction
· Must work well in a crisis setting and be willing to learn new crisis intervention techniques
· CPR/FA, CPI Training, Fingerprint clearance card (for employees only, not contractors)
· Prefer experience or familiarity with recovery and a 12-step/ NA/AA and other alternative recovery methods
· Must meet all Arizona requirements for Behavioral Health Technician
