Job Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism. Duties:

- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming (ADLs)

- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and guidelines

- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals

- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding

- Monitor and record vital signs as needed

- Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with autism or challenging behaviors

- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to develop and implement care plans

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals

Requirements:

- Knowledge of medication administration protocols

- Familiarity with social work principles and practices

- Ability to perform first aid procedures as needed

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting

- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or prolonged standing/walking

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of individuals

- Flexibility in working various shifts, including weekends and holidays
