Hand Compositor/Typesetters sets type by hand and machine. Assembles type and cuts in galley for printing articles, headings, and other printed matter. Being a Hand Compositor/Typesetters determines type size, style, and compositional pattern from work order. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hand Compositor/Typesetters may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. We are hiring Metal Fabricators to cut and assemble various types of custom hurricane shutters made from aluminum.
Work details
* Assembly of our metal shutter products (use of hand tools and saws required)
* Able to read and understand tape measure
* Able to perform production processes, understand and operate tools and machinery to insure continuous production flow
* Loading/Offloading/ stacking light metal products by hand
* Good attitude and ability to work well in a busy & dynamic team environment
* Willing to work overtime when required
* Basic mechanical aptitude
* Able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds
* Follow production guidelines and specifications from leads.
*General shop labor & other tasks as assigned
* Pass background check and Drug test
* Transportation to/ from work
* Drivers License A plus but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
