Hard Tile Setter covers tabletops or other surfaces with mosaic tile squares to form decorative design. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Hard Tile Setter may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hard Tile Setter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. **Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Flooring and Tile professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of flooring and tile installation, maintenance, and restoration.
**Duties:**
- Install and repair various types of flooring materials such as tiles, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl
- Perform tile setting, grouting, and sealing
- Conduct floor care and restoration services
- Utilize power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials
- Read and interpret blueprints for flooring projects
- Estimate construction materials needed for flooring projects
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters for cabinet installation and trim carpentry
**Experience:**
- Concrete finishing experience is a plus
- Proficiency in cabinet installation is a plus
- Skilled in trim carpentry techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and restoration methods
- Expertise in flooring installation procedures
- Proficient in using various power tools for flooring tasks
