    Job Summary

    The Project Manager is the leader of their assigned projects. They are responsible for all aspects of delivering a project on time and on budget while maximizing profitability. Their responsibilities include detailing (as required), materials procurement, coordinating installation (as needed) and vendor relations. They monitor and proactively manage all contract changes, as well as the contract time and any changes thereto, and report accordingly both internally and externally.

    Duties and Responsibilities include:

    • Maintain a positive, results-oriented attitude that promotes teamwork with peers, subordinates, operations, other support functions, and suppliers while driving significant change.
    • Provides proactive leadership throughout the entire project. Regularly collaborate with Estimating, and Sales department to ensure complete understanding of the project. Attends and leads project meetings with personnel and customers as required.
    • Maintains positive working relationships with General Contractors and architects during the design and production of the project.
    • Manages project financials with senior management. Periodically reviews project profitability with senior management. Discusses any major issues and presents recommendations and action plans to resolve.
    • Designated as main point of customer contact. Responsible for collaborating with customer regarding value engineering for either cost or delivery concerns.
    • Maintains compliance with contract documents and/or local, state or national code variances for the life of the project, as well as submittal review. Facilitates project correctness and completeness by submitting, resolving discrepancies, and assuring accuracy before procurement begins.
    • Manages all project communications to ensure timely response to customer.
    • Incorporates changes through ASI’s, Bulletins and RFI’s issued by contractor and architect or through return submittal comments. Prepares and negotiates change order with customers.
    • Maximizes profitability through buying and scheduling.
    • Prepares vendor purchase orders and releases orders to suppliers and/or in-house Purchasing department.
    • Establishes delivery schedules and manages freight to minimize costs.
    • Manages and coordinates labor and installation services with in-house Security division to minimize costs.
    • Responsible for maintaining and updating project backlog status.
    • Collaborates with Accounting department on consistent basis regarding timing of billing and status of payment. Contacts customer as needed to follow up on payment.
    • Manages job closeout, including punch list, to insure complete final payment and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Maintains strong competency in computer software and product knowledge.
    • Occasional travel required to attend vendor training, project meetings, company training, job site visits, or other events deemed necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Valid driver's license
    • High school diploma
    • Must have good organizational skills and mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to work with a team and independently on projects
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels

    Preferred Job Requirements

    • 2-5 years experience in Division 8
    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in construction or industry related field
    • Proficient in Comsense

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
