Job Summary:
An Aircraft Detailer is tasked with cleaning and detailing general and business aviation aircraft to provide a safe, comfortable, and luxurious cabin for all clients, customers, and guests.
Successful candidates for this role will have experience with high end cleaning and detailing, preferably in the aviation industry, will be an initiative-taker and able to work with minimal supervision while accomplishing tasks timely, efficiently, and with care and consideration for aircraft assets.
Core Schedule:
- Days: Monday thru Friday
- Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Some on call or evening/weekend hours may be required.
Compensation:
- Starting hourly wage of $15.00 – $17.00 per hour depending on experience and location.
- This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and will be paid at time and one half for any overtime hours worked.
Day in the Life:
- Perform cleaning tasks on/in/around private aircraft.
- Machine polishing of brightwork, paint polishes and sealants.
- Cleaning of passenger cabins, lavatories, cockpits, & aircraft exterior
- Stocking of aircraft with general stock, as well as passenger preferences.
- Occasional shopping for passenger preferences, as requested by the office.
- Occasional driving missions to other airports to clean and stock aircraft
- Greet, park, tow, move and marshal aircraft in ramp area, assist with wing-walking duties as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
What will make you successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be initiative-taking,
- MUST be comfortable working in areas that may be high (above wings and tail structures), as well as in low areas that require bending and stooping for access. Applicants will be expected to execute duties in all weather conditions and environments and will be required to stand on their feet for extended periods of time.
- Frequent stooping, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and operating heavy power tools with repetitive motions will be expected.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs alone.
- Frequent usage of hands, wrists, shoulders, and back muscles are necessary to execute these duties.
- Must have reliable transportation. A valid driver’s license is required – as some driving duties are part of this role.
- In addition, since our company is open 24/7 365 days a year, applicants with flexible schedules will have TOP PRIORITY. Weekend & evening availability is also required.
- Candidates must be able to pass background check & drug test.
- Must be able to work alone or in a group as needed.
- Ability to read and respond to E-Mail communications.
