Roles and responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced educator and leader, who has a love for the Montessori method and a passion for building a strong school community of students, parents, and staff.
As the head of school, you'll be responsible for:
- Creating a strategic plan for the school.
- Daily operations of the school.
- Compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies.
- Ensuring sufficient staff/child ratios.
- Enforcing school policies.
- Building and maintaining enrollment at sustainable levels.
- Leading and building a team of collaborative personnel.
- Hiring, supporting, developing, managing, and retaining staff.
- Ensuring a high standard of the educational experience for all students.
- Building school culture and a strong student, parent, and staff community.
- Cultivating relationships with parents and engaging parents in the MSR culture.
- Communicating the mission of MSR to the wider community.
- Engaging in community outreach to enhance the status and reputation of MSR.

We would love to talk to you if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of formal Montessori teaching experience.
- 3 to 5 years of leadership/management experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- An aptitude for creating a warm and compassionate team culture.
We will prefer you over other candidates if you have:
- Master's degree.
- AMS certification.
Where we are:
Located in the piney hills of north Louisiana, Ruston and nearby Grambling is the home to two universities. Ruston is known for its annual peach festival, but also has a thriving historic downtown shopping district and arts culture, and a new state-of-the-art sports complex. The area is also home to many outdoor amenities, including walking and biking trails, lakes for fishing and boating, campgrounds, and venues for outdoor entertainment.
