Gainey Ranch Golf Club

With panoramic views of the McDowell Mountains, the allure of the Sonoran Desert and breathtaking blue skies, Gainey Ranch is more than just a golf club – it’s a home away from home. Members create lasting memories that become embedded in the traditions and experiences that are the foundation of the Gainey Ranch Golf Club family.

The centerpiece of Gainey Ranch's golf program is a scenic, immaculately maintained 27-hole championship course designed by Michael Poellot and Bradford L. Benz.

With it's lush greenery, sparkling waterways and spectacular waterfall at the ninth hole, The Lakes Course is both a challenging Scottsdale golf course and a delightful one.

Surrounded by the indigenous desert, The Dunes course requires accuracy off the tee and a gentle touch on the greens.

As the longest of the three nines, The Arroyo Course requires both power and placement, ending with its infamous peninsular green on No. 9.

Job Summary

The Head Golf Pro is responsible for promoting the game of golf through operational structure and programming that provides a "first class" environment for Members and guests. The Head Golf Pro develops all golf operations department budgets including forecasts to see that all financial goals are met.  

Day-to-Day

• Responsible for all golf operations at the Club, including, golf carts, bag room, locker room, golf shop, special tournaments, and Member/Guest events.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing all staff.
• Acute understanding of the critical role that Membership and exceeding expectations play regarding the success of the operation.
• Develop aggressive Golf revenue sales, marketing, and net revenue plans.
• Direct successful implementations by following established Invited budgeting and revenue guidelines.

About You

• College degree preferred.
• PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion.
• Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of expense control as it relates to payroll and the forecasting and budgeting of expenses.
• Experience with tee sheets and inventory systems.
• Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, Employee Partners and Guests.
