Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Golf Professional typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. About this Position
The 2nd Assistant Golf Professional supervises employees, assists with the Pro Shop, and organizes activities and events on the course, among other tasks, to maintain the operation of the recently renovated KickingBird Golf Club, Edmond's oldest golf course and one of Oklahoma's premier public courses. This position requires a flexible schedule, as daily shifts can vary in start and end times (but the weekly hours should remain the same). Sample shifts can range from opening–2 pm, 7 am–3 pm, 12 pm–8 pm, or 4 pm–11:30 pm.
