Head Nurse - Industrial directs nursing service activities in an industrial setting. Provides care to patients with emergency industrial accidents and surgery outpatients. Being a Head Nurse - Industrial plans and conducts training programs to promote employee health and safety in the workplace. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and industrial staff nurses. Additionally, Head Nurse - Industrial maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Industrial manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Industrial typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities
- Perform painting and blasting on industrial steel structures such as tanks and other structures.
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
- must be able to work in various positions including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
- Work from heights and climb ladders.
- Lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
- Assist with project estimates and calculate the amount of product to order.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within the work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an industrial painter/blaster.
- Ability to monitor and record environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and maintaining accurate records.
- Full range of motion in upper and lower body.
- Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude.
