Head Nurse - Infection Control directs nursing services activities for infection control. Supervises the implementation and maintenance of infection control policies and procedures as set forth by the infection control committee. Being a Head Nurse - Infection Control ensures isolation protocols are followed and that appropriate state and county organizations are notified of any reportable diseases. Prepares management reports as appropriate. Additionally, Head Nurse - Infection Control requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Infection Control manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Infection Control typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for a Infection Control and Staff Education Registered Nurse RN position.

    Position Description:
    The Infection Control/Staff Education/Employee Health Registered Nurse develops and updates infection control policies to be current with APIC, CDC, and OSHA guidelines. Monitors all employee and patient infection. Develops policies and procedures to reduce bioload and healthcare associated infections.Develops, maintains and coordinates staff education for all Cedar Creek employees with an emphasis on nursing staff education. Assesses employee learning needs, researches and develops contents of training sessions, and designs and schedules learning activities.

    Full Time, Monday through Friday, Day Shift.

    Qualifications:
    Infection Control/Staff Education/Employee Health Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
    Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Michigan required.
    BSN or further advanced study.
    Previous infection control experience preferred.
