Head Nurse - Nursing Home plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a nursing home. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff. Being a Head Nurse - Nursing Home ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients. Additionally, Head Nurse - Nursing Home requires a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school. Requires a valid state RN license. Typically reports to a top management. The Head Nurse - Nursing Home manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Nursing Home typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Summary
DescriptionCandidates must have an Associate Degree from an acredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program or currently be enrolled.
Provide therapy to patients in a SNF setting under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist using a variety of therapeutic techniques. Treat patients with respect, dignity, and privacy and motivate them to participate in therapy treatment, while adhering to the plan of treatment established by the Occupational Therapist. Use creative therapy interventions specific to the patients’ interests and needs to obtain positive patient outcomes and progress. Participate as an interdisciplinary team member to determine potential patient needs, plans of care, and functional maintenance programs. Accurately complete documentation of patient progress within designated time period. Document clearly to show the medical necessity of the patient care to justify the plan of treatment. Demonstrate the ability to utilize the computer system effectively, adhering to company policy.
