Head Nurse - Occupational Health jobs in New Bedford, MA

Head Nurse - Occupational Health directs nursing service activities for occupational health services. Develops and conducts training programs to promote employee safety in the workplace. Being a Head Nurse - Occupational Health conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards. Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Additionally, Head Nurse - Occupational Health coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Occupational Health manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Occupational Health typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Requirements:

    • Completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program and have an active license
    • Active CPR Certification
    • 1 year of relevant experience as a CNA

    • The ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Commitment and dependability
    • Rotating weekend and holiday on-call responsibilities

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Care for patients in their homes in conjunction with the rest of the clinical team.
    • Follow a personalized care plan for each patient that is assigned by the case manager who is available to support you in your responsibilities.
    • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), light meal preparation, companionship, respite when applicable.
    • Promote a safe environment and assist with ambulation/transfers.
    • Maintain communication with the interdisciplinary team and the patient’s caregivers.

    All employees must be vaccinated with booster for COVID-19.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From $18.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
