Head Nurse - Pediatrics directs nursing service activities for assigned pediatric patients. Delegates responsibilities to pediatric staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of pediatric patient clinical records, and writes reports on pediatrics staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - Pediatrics maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - Pediatrics requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Pediatrics manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Pediatrics typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our amazing team! Registered Nurses take part in providing direct patient care services within the professional scope of practice and as determined by patient and provider needs. In addition, Registered Nurses manage patients through telephone triage.

    This position's main location will be at the Every Child Pediatrics Aurora Clinic, 1550 South Potomac St, Aurora, CO 80012; based on clinical and coverage needs, Registered Nurses must travel to 3 other clinics in the Denver Metro area: Denver Clinic, 1601 E 19th Ave, Denver, CO 80218; Lakewood Clinic, 355 Union Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80228; Thornton Clinic, 9197 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform direct patient care, including patient education, requiring the skill and expertise of a Registered Nurse.
    • Provide triage assessments and counseling for patients and families seeking treatment over the phone or in person.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documenting information gathered from or advice given to inform providers of patient progress and outcomes.
    • Follow established written protocols for handling common pediatric illnesses.
    • Advise patients and their families about their healthcare needs.
    • Schedule patients as appropriate for clinic appointments and place follow-up calls as needed.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

    Qualifications:

    • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado in good standing
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred
    • Electronic Medical Record system experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Spanish speaking is preferred.
    • BLS/CPR certification
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check
    • Possess a valid driver's license, a reliable method of transportation, and insurance with a clean driving record to be able to travel to other clinic locations.
    • Current resident of the State of Colorado
