Designs, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs (orientations, continuing education, and in-services) that facilitate the professional growth, skill development, competency, and attainment of standards of care for employees. These programs will be developed, implemented, and evaluated using adult education principles. Clinical programs will be developed using nursing theory, nursing clinical expertise, standards of practice, and adult education principles. Serves as resource for staff nurses and other healthcare team members. Assists with promoting competency level of staff in assigned service areas by providing service specific education. Assists with providing individual instruction to staff as needed. Assists in providing education related to new/revised policies or procedures. Assists in evaluating effectiveness of current standards, polices, procedures, and clinical pathways, and ensures all reflect current JCAHO and other regulatory/accrediting standards requirements.
