Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Administrator trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Situated in the city of Belle Glade, the Center provides a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care to clients and their families in surrounding communities.
Purpose:
To assist professional staff perform those client care activities which will help stabilize the client’s mental condition
Major Responsibilities:- Provide safe on-site supervision of clients
- Assist clients of daily living (showers, hygiene, and education) and on unit routine
- Individual and group discussion
- Address problem behavior as needed through verbal de-escalation techniques
- Participate in therapeutic recreational activities
- Record all aspects of observations of clients behaviors
- Keep neat, written logs on clients activities
- Assist in complete admission and discharge paperwork
- Attend clinical and staff meetings
- May provide transport to clients as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management
- Minimum educational experience in High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrate problem solving skills
- Ability to work with diverse personalities
- High degree of attention to detail, personal initiative and community to quality
- Excellent proven oral and written communication skills
- Must be service-minded with professional appearance and attitude
- Knowledge of 12-step program is preferred
- Active driver’s license and clean driving record
