Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Administrator trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. - Develop a strong working relationship with the Operations team.
- Must ensure DOT drug/alcohol program is compliant with regulations.
- Must ensure the HOS of drivers is within the regulation of FMCSA.
- Review and make corrections on driver ELD logs.
- Perform frequent Audits to ensure compliance of Driver Qualification files and DOT consortium.
- Create and maintain accident files.
- Any other duties assigned by Safety Manager.
Position Minimum Requirements:- Knowledge of transportation/logistics
- Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Knowledge for Hour of Services.
- Strong Communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a high-pressure and fast past environment.
- Ability to drive a strong safety culture.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with good computer skills.
- Reliable, Punctual, and Self- Motivated
- Self- Motivated and Detail Oriented
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
· Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner.
