The Environment, Health, & Safety Manager will be responsible for programs and practices that ensure the safety, health, and environment of the North America Logistics Network. The EHS Manager position is responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, and directing environmental and health/safety activities to ensure employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and implement the EHS management system to protect human health and the environment. The selected individual must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Establish a culture that is aligned with URBN’s EHS goals and objectives, with continuous EHS improvements.
• Manage, direct, coach, lead, and motivate URBN personnel to achieve EHS goals and objectives in a timely and safe manner, while continuously striving to improve safety skills & awareness.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and activities for the NA Network to achieve, maintain, and exceed compliance with relevant regulatory laws and regulations as well as comply with URBN’s policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead and assist employee safety teams to understand and own safety and compliance down to the lowest level. 
• Assist in providing information for Workers Compensation requests (incident investigations)
• Demonstrates ability to conduct root cause incident investigations.
• Responsible for driving processes that will result in a reduction of incidents and injuries and the identification of potential hazards present in the workplace.
• Advise, develop, and facilitate safety training for new employees and supervisors.
• Complete annual risk management assessments for NA Network.
• Conduct Safety and Risk Management Training.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:

• BS in Safety Science or related field with at least 3 years of EHS experience in a distribution environment
• CSP or ASP credential preferred
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and EPA regulations and reporting requirements
• Demonstrated professional with a passion for change and relentless focus on execution
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical, problem solving and human relations skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, PowerBI, or other analytical systems is a plus
• Results driven and accountable for actions
• Ability to work independently yet see others as partners and essential team members
• Strong organizational and systems implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sound leadership coaching skills; investigation skills

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk throughout a shift
• Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
• Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
• Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements.
