Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Kesher Educator Position

Job Description for 23-24 Year
Kesher: The Center for Jewish Life is the dynamic learning program for grades K-12 at Temple Israel of Westport. We are looking to hire a creative, passionate and engaging part-time Kesher educator for various grades, K-6. Classes meet at the times listed. We offer a competitive salary and an enjoyable work environment.
- Sunday mornings between 9:00a-1:30p (split among 3 sessions)
- Monday afternoons from 4:15p-6:00p
- Tuesday afternoons from 4:15p-6:00p

Requirements
- Prior experience working with children between Kindergarten-7th grade in a group setting.
- Working knowledge and interest in Judaism and Jewish life.
- Ability to flexibly differentiate teaching based on students needs and interests.
- Ability to plan and teach lessons based on the subject areas as communicated by the Rabbi Educator.
- Excellent communication skills; verbally, written and interpersonally.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Likes to be creative and have fun!

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
