Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Purpose:
Increase community health and safety by facilitating community-based education sessions to prevent Domestic Violence in order to increase personal empowerment and cultivate community allyship.
Expected Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, with varying hours based on school schedules with potential for evening and weekend hours for community events as needed. Possibility of flexible summer schedule.
