We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Health Information Technician to join our team. As a Health Information Technician, you will be responsible for managing and organizing medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Your role will involve utilizing various software systems and analyzing data to support mental healthcare providers in delivering quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
· Organizing, maintaining, and safeguarding client records within EHR system
· Review client records to ensure accuracy.
· Process Release of Information Requests
· Assist with monthly state reporting activities.
· Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders on chart audits.
· Assist with monitoring and developing business processes and workflows.
· Serve as a Superuser in EHR.
· Management of medical hardcopy records (i.e. filing, pulling, copying, collecting)
· Monitor data entry for state outcome measures.
· Pull and review medical records for MD/ARNP appointments.
· Maintain medical record storage and supplies.
· Administrative assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma - Associate degree or Technical Training
· Minimum one (1) year medical office experience
· Experience in Electronic Health Records
· Basic understanding of clinical workflows
· Excellent customer skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft office and other database software
· Knowledge of HIPPA and other state and federal regulations
