Health Informatics Manager manages a clinical biostatistics or health informatics team. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Health Planning & Accreditation Manager

  • POSITION: Health Planning & Accreditation Manager - Full Time (35 hours/week)

    POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating and leading 1) the Health District’s

    health planning and promotion activities that encompass community health assessment and

    improvement planning and chronic disease prevention; 2) the Health District’s accreditation efforts. The

    position shares leadership responsibilities with the Emergency Planning & Injury Prevention Manager to

    ensure a highly-effective Health Planning & Promotion team. These responsibilities require collaboration

    with Health District staff, community stakeholders, elected officials, and local partners.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES (See position description for more details):

    • Coordinates the Health District’s community health assessment and improvement planning efforts.

    o Facilitates community health assessment and improvement planning processes in close

    collaboration with the Seneca County Health Alliance. Ensures processes and plans meet national

    accreditation standards.

    o Develops and implements community engagement strategies to assure the active involvement of

    community members and stakeholders in community health assessment and improvement

    planning efforts.

    • Leads and coordinates the Health District’s accreditation/reaccreditation efforts and serves as

    primary contact with the Public Health Accreditation Board; manages and facilitates the Health

    District’s Accreditation Team; develops and manages agency work plan for maintaining accreditation

    and involving staff in the process; develops, documents, and implements changes necessary to comply

    with national accreditation standards; orients, trains, and advises staff, Health Commissioner, and

    Board of Health on accreditation requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONS (See position description for full detail):

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, health education/promotion, or closely related

    field; master’s degree preferred.

    • Three (3) years of public health/public health planning experience; prior accreditation experience

    preferred.

    • NIMS/ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications required; 300, 400 must be completed within 6 months of

    employment or as soon as available.

    • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of

    diverse backgrounds, cultures, socio-economic status, interests, and experiences.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
    • Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability according to Health District policy.

    COMPENSATION: Pay Grade: 8; range of $28.08-$37.76 per hour, based on experience.
