Helper- Brick and Stone Mason jobs in Sparks, NV

Seeking a friendly and motivated employee to add to our locally owned slab and tile showroom. This position is part of a small, fun team where everyone helps in areas outside of their primary responsibilities. The candidate should be willing to work hard, independently and in an organized manner within the team structure.

The Showroom Consultant assists customers in selecting the tile and granite products for their project. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and organized, have strong communication, problem-solving skills, and be adept at working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
• Proficient in basic math skills
• Basic computer skills working within Windows
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent understanding of design and color

Preferred, but not required:

• Stone and tile product knowledge
• Prior work experience working with stone, granite or slabs
• Design experience is a plus

Expectations:

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needs
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Demonstrate the ability to sketch ideas on paper
• Light Cleaning of showroom and products
• Excellent communications skills including verbal, written and telephone
• Preparing samples with appropriate identification and information for customers
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to provide individualized service
• Maintain a calm demeanor under pressure and work well with colleagues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
