The High School Teacher evaluates and monitors student's performance. Prepares lesson plans and instructs adolescents. Being a High School Teacher some states require that teachers be certified. Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. In addition, High School Teacher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to the principal. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid certification as determined by the Kentucky
Department of Education, Division of Educator Licensure
and Quality.
