Histology Technician jobs in Columbia, SC
Histology Technician receives and prepares tissue specimens for routine and special procedures and pathologist review. Performs histological procedures including accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining. Being a Histology Technician maintains accurate tissue and slide records. Cleans and maintains instruments and work areas. Additionally, Histology Technician complies with established laboratory policies for universal precautions and safety. Requires an associate degree in biology, related science, or equivalent. Typically requires completion of an accredited histotechnology program. Requires ASCP Histotechnician certification (HT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Histology Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Low Voltage Cable Technician job duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Pulling, terminating, dressing, testing, and labeling CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, and Fiber data cables.
- Installing and terminating racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF / IDF, workstation outlets, firestopping etc.
- Reading and interpreting general system layouts from blueprints.
- Installing devices including camera / CCTV systems, access control, and audio-visual.
- OSHA10, OSHA30, Lift, and Manufacturer Certifications are a plus, and considered in pay rate.
