Job Title: Machine Operator II
Location: Milford, Connecticut 06776 (Onsite)
Shift Work Details: Rotating 12-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $37/hr

Primary Responsibilities:

• Actively participate as a team member of the Co-Gen operating team, performing tasks such as troubleshooting, adjusting, and operating water treatment equipment.
• Maintain proper water chemistry, operate river pumps, and complete ETP rounds, compressor rounds, and other outside rounds as necessary.
• Learn and execute the operation of Co-Gen/BoHo systems, including shutdowns and start-ups.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices, environmental requirements, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform data collection and entry, maintaining accurate and detailed reports.
• Operate, shutdown, and start up outside area equipment (e.g., WTP) and inside area equipment (e.g., Co-Gen, steam system, water system, process air system, Rockwell control system).
• Participate in shift operations meetings and contribute to the daily work plan.
• Conduct routine maintenance as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record of excellent safety performance and consistent attendance.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members.
• Capability to work on elevated platforms, catwalks, and scaffolding, and to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Proficiency in Co-Gen Outside Operator tasks, including water treatment equipment, water chemistry, river pumps, and outside rounds.
• Proficiency in Co-Gen Inside Operator tasks, such as turbines, steam systems, electrical systems, process air systems, and in-depth knowledge of the Rockwell Control System.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in electrical Co-generation, Boiler House, or Water Treatment processes.
• CT OE-2 Limited Operating Engineer Journeyperson License.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP software is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Rotating shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• CNC milling machine: 5 years (Preferred)
