Home Care Aide provides household management activities to enable patients in independence at home. Assists patient with self-administered medications and emotional supports. Being a Home Care Aide typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. Additionally, Home Care Aide may require CPR certified. The Home Care Aide possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Applicant must be caring and dependable. This job may include, but not limited to assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, walking, eating, exercise program, and emotional support, guidance with behaviors (all depending on client's needs).
Homemaking tasks may also be included such as washing dishes, cleaning kitchen, cleaning bathroom, doing laundry, vacuuming, dusting, running errands, etc.
