Home Care Aide provides household management activities to enable patients in independence at home. Assists patient with self-administered medications and emotional supports. Being a Home Care Aide typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. Additionally, Home Care Aide may require CPR certified. The Home Care Aide possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. We are in need of a Personal Care Aide to assist one of our clients who is an elderly male Veteran and needs some help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and walking - to stay independent at home. The job is located in the town of Port Isabel, TX.
This is a long term position. 10 hours per week. The schedule is flexible but must stick to the schedule once it is agreed upon. Paid at $30/hour. Pay is $26/hour base with a $4/hour bonus to total $30/hour. You get the bonus if you work all the shifts you agreed to work during that pay period.
The job starts soon. Experience as a caregiver is required. We can train on the specifics of the job. We will perform a background check.
Must get a TB (Tuberculosis) skin test if not had one in last 3 years. You can do this at CVS Minute Clinics. Schedule appt. online at your local CVS. Cost is $75. We reimburse the $75 on the first paycheck - if you keep the reciept: www.minuteclinic.com
