Wesley Hospice is currently recruiting for a part-time contracted Hospice Physician to support our growing Hospice program.  In this contracted, non-employee role, you will experience gratifying work while partnering with the compassionate interdisciplinary Hospice team at Wesley. The contracted Hospice Physician will provide care oversight for hospice patients being served throughout King and Pierce Counties (Des Moines southward to Bonney Lake).

Essential contracted duties:

• Evaluate patient eligibility for hospice services upon referral
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Participates in and provides routine staff education regarding end-of-life care
• Responds to call regarding care services of hospice patients, and participates in the hospice medical provider call rotation.
• Provides consultation on patient care and management to other physicians whose patients are receiving hospice services, as well as to members of the hospice interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory changes and documentation requirements related to hospice care.

Salary Range: $5,500 to $7,500 per month*
