Staffing Coordinator (Full Time)

As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all units are staffed appropriately according to census and acuities in accordance with applicable federal guidelines for staffing. The focus of the staffing coordinator will be on creating and maintaining nursing department work shift schedules.

Staffing Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and implement a sustainable staffing strategy
• Make sure Daily Staffing is in place for Nursing Department.
• Monitor the company's staffing needs and take actions to staff accordingly by ensuring coverage for callouts
• Work with staffing agencies as needed
• Identify hard to fill roles and take proactive actions
• Assist in candidate screening and interviewing
• Assist with new employee orientation
• Design and plan work shift schedules
• Provide assistance with timekeeping for payroll purposes
• Create, present and submit reports to management
• Must be knowledgable with scheduling software: OnShift, Scheduling, Outlook, Chronos, SmartLinks, Eshyft

Requirements:

• 1-year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator or similar role
• At least 1-year long term care facility experience
• Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures and best practices
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
• Reliable with respect to confidentiality.

• Minimum: high school diploma or GED
• Competent with OnShift, Scheduling, Outlook, Chronos, SmartLinks, Eshyft
