Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the  Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring each shift has the appropiate number of nursing staff. Your focus will be centered on meeting the scheduling requirements to give our residents a great quality-of-life, so duties such as recording attendance, staff training, and seeing to scheduling needs will be key in our quality care system.

Scheduling day-to-day will include: 

• Scheduling nursing staff appropiately with resident ratio
• Checking time punch records to ensure the allign with the schedule
• Reviewing request off forms and finding coverage while other team members are away. 
• Reporting observations and changes in attendance patterns nursing supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills, especially when it comes to delivering information to our staff members.
• Ability to think critically under pressure.
• QMA with current valid CNA Certification.
• Ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Be able to make independent decisions concerning above job duties.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family member, visitors, government agencies/personnel, vendors, and the general public.
• Be knowledgeable  medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Available to work off hours, holidays, weekends and on-call rotation.
